SIX MAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE TEAM RAPS UP SEASON THIS WEEKEND

The day was May 7th, as a near capacity crowd entered the Tab Ramos Sports Center Arena. This would be the unveiling of the Central Jersey Shore Celtics, now known as the Aberdeen Bayshore Celtics, and everyone's first glimpse of indoor six man football in New Jersey . The league playing this specific style of football would be titled the NJ Indoor Football League. The opponent that afternoon would be the Northern Penn Energy of the outdoor Pennsylvania Sixman Football League or PFL/6.
Nearly six months have passed from that inaugural day to the final regular season home game of the Celtics' first season. There have been numerous changes throughout those five months. The biggest and most noticeable of them was the delay of the inaugural NJIFL season and the introduction of the first team outside Pennsylvania to be members of the PFL/6.

Since then the Celtics have defeated every team that they have crossed paths with, including the Northern Penn Energy and Middletown Maniax twice. Four Celtic players have signed with the Great Lakes Indoor Football League's NY/NJ Revolution and four have signed with the Eastern Indoor Football League's Bayshore Brawlers.
