BRAWLERS SCRATCH OUT WIN VS. WILDCATS

The BAYSHORE (NJ) BRAWLERS/WILLIAMSPORT WILDCATS: Another great game on a perfect day for football. Everybody on both teams had been looking forward to this game since the end of last year when the BRAWLERS (then playing as the CELTICS) took two close and competitive games from the WILDCATS. The first half picked up with highly competitive and intense football. All back and forth play with great defensive work on both teams' behalf.

At halftime after lots of solid gridiron action, the score was at just 8-2 in favor of the BRAWLERS.

The 2nd half featured the same heart and effort from both squads. Sy Patterson picked his way up field on numerous carries to lead the charge for the BRAWLERS. The WILDCATS' offense couldn't quite get things rolling to their advantage. While fighting and never giving up, numerous WILDCATS opportunities and momentum advantages were abruptly stopped due to stout BRAWLER defense, turnovers, etc. On this day, with fans in great numbers, the 'CATS weren't able to overcome the boys from Bayshore.
