Millville Marauders VS. Tri-Town Braves
Sch. County Wolfpack VS. Lykens Thunder
Middletown Maniax VS. Bayshore Brawlers
The PENN-JERSEY DIVISION
WOLFPACK 13 - TIGERS 8
The 'PACK hold tough against a VERY capable TIGERS Team, who did some "roaring" all season long. The WOLFPACK will move on to the Division Semi's at LYKENS on Sat., 6/27.
MANIAX 40 - CYCLONE
The 'AX are hitting their stride as they move through the Post Season. The CYCLONES should be stoked that, as a first-year team, they made playoffs! And, buidling for '10 is key. The MANIAX go to NJ to face the BRAWLERS in the Divisional Semi's on the 27th.
The MOUNTAIN DIVISION
MARAUDERS 38 - DEVILS 12
The MARAUDERS were on the ball...literally...until the final play with Charlie Funson took a fumble back 45 yards for a TD. They move on to play the Tri-Town BRAVES in Mongomery on the 27th. The 'VILS will begin to re-tool for 2010.
KNIGHTS 42 - DUTCHMEN 6
It WAS, indeed, "Knight Time" in Lewisburg today. A MUCH-IMPROVED KNIGHTS knocked the D-MEN back to Millhiem. BUT, look out...they'll be a LOT better in 2010! Meanwhile, it's off to Billtown on the 27th for the KNIGHTS as they face the WILDCATS in the Divisional Semi's!

THUNDER 39 - BRAWLERS 12

Great offensive play and heady defensive play by the THUNDER...along with nine (yes...NINE) BRAWLER turnovers) equated to the THUNDER Road Win in NJ. Both will get the 1st Round/Wildcard Weekend BYE. The THUNDER go in to the Post Season as the PENN-JERSEY DIVISION's #1 Seed and the BRAWLERS are the #2 Seed
BRAWLERS 34 - CYCLONES 13.

This was actually a closer game than what the score would indicate. Nearing halftime, the BRAWLERS were up 21-0. A bad snap by the BRAWLERS resulted a 1st and goal inside the 5 for the CYCLONES! The BRAWLERS gathered themselves, and, well, the rest is history. Week 8 has the CYCLONES at the WOLFPACK as the BRAWLERS host the THUNDER (Another good one!)
BRAWLERS 19 - BRONCOS 0

The Bucks County BRONCOS had a HUGE opportunity today. An opportunity to get Win #1! They've been coming together and giving it their best. The BRAWLERS, as they often do, just didn't travel well. About 10-12 made the trek from the Jersey Shore. BUT...that's all they'd need. They did their thing while the BRONCOS are still working on "their thing." Week 7 hasa the BRONCOS coming to Millville to play the MARAUDERS. Meanwhile, the BRAWLERS are on the road again to play the Mt. Joy CYCLONES.

BRAWLERS 54 - BRAVES 14

WOW! Once again, the BRAWLERS come out to Penns Woods a few players shy. BUT, they, evidently, brought their best...or the players who made the trip brought their A-Game...Or BOTH! One of the "Best of the West" got beat while that old "Beast from the East" did what they do best: Turn it up when they have to. The BRAWLERS should be a shoo-in for the win in Week 6 against the BRONCOS, while the BRAVES go up the street to battle the WILDCATS in Williamsport.
BRAWLERS 39 - STALLIONS 19

The BRAWLERS did their thing...capitalizing on miscues and then making the most out of them in a hurry. That, coupled with hard-nosed football got them up a couple/three scores fast. The STALLIONS travelled with only 13 and "slept" thru the 1st half. The 2nd half was a different game where the STALLIONS adapted, adjusted and overcame! But, the 2nd half was not different (or long) enough. This was a good game...always is with these two! Oh, and the BRAWLERS' win is dedicated to Denise Strollo, Dave "Grandpa" Strollo's sister who's battling cancer. Best to you, Denise...we're ALL with you in the G.E.F.A.!
BRAWLERS 74 - WOLFPACK 16-

Call this the "Welcome to the G.E.F.A., WOLFPACK" game. While true enough that the 'PACK had some swagger, this week...against the 2-Time Champs...would truly be a test of skill. The test results are in: the BRAWLERS still have the skills they need to be a serious contender for post season. The WOLFPACK now know how the top-echelon teams do it around the G.E.F.A. Watch for both teams to make a run at the playoffs. The question for (at least) one of them: should they make it, how deep will they go? Right now, one team has an edge. The other could get it, but it remains to be seen. Stick around! Week 4 has the BRAWLERS hosting the STALLIONS, while the WOLFPACK are in Lykens against the THUNDER...another top-tier team.
Week 2 Maniax 27 Brawlers 32

Brawlers Cage Maniax in Final Seconds
The Bayshore Brawlers, 2006 and 2007 Great Eastern Football Association champions defeated their Keystone Bowl Two competitors the Middletown Maniax in the final seconds of their home opener at the Laurence Harbor Little League on April 25 th. With Ty Bedel, the game’s most valuable player, crossing the pylon with less than ten ticks left on the clock the Brawlers took a 32-27 lead. The Maniax were unable to pull off a special team or deep pass miracle in the remaining seconds as the Brawlers improved to 2-0. The Maniax lost their second heart breaker in as many weeks as they continue to search for their first victory.
The Brawlers offensive charge was lead by all-league tight end Marques Haynes who caught touchdowns and extra points during the early going of the matchup. Joao Huerta, Claud Jones, and Monquell Conway, all first year players, contributed throughout the matchup with their dazzling speed, excellent hands, and tremendous hustle. First year offensive lineman Antoine Hudgins continued to impress coaches, fans, and the opposition with blocks that lasted seconds past the whistle. Veterans Manny Foy, John Mulligan, and Junito Torres played steady throughout the game and have been major contributors in why the Brawlers have begun the ’09 season undefeated.
The defense of the Brawlers were put in tight spots early on in the game and showed some uncharacteristic sloppiness in stopping the run and gaining consistent pass rushing pressure. The defensive line rotation of Jeff Greenberg, Stephon Hickson, Jay Smith, Mike Delafuente, and Antoine Tolbert eventually settled down and didn’t allow the Maniax’s offense the ability to run their inside runs or bootleg passes. Linebackers JJ Morgan and Tim Steeger applied bone crushing hits throughout the contest. The Brawlers secondary was able to stop the Maniax’s potent passing attack with the likes of Sy Patterson, Franklin Dean, and Dan Fort.
The Brawlers will play their second home game this Saturday against the up and coming Wolfpack Saturday at 3pm at the Laurence Harbor Little League Complex. Admission is always free of charge and remember to bring your lawn chair!

April 18, 2009- Brawlers 28 - Tigers 26
Brawlers pull out a heartbreaker this Sunday. Almost blowing a 16 pt halftime lead. In the second half a fumbled Brawlers snap in the end zone gave the tigers a quick 6. This was followed up with several dropped passes stalling the brawler’s offense. The defense then failed on several key tiger possessions fueling Tiger momentum. A heroic offensive effort by the brawlers brought the score to 28-20 late in the game. These heroics where almost erased by a rainbow thrown by the tigers QB which turned into a jump ball in the end zone that was pulled down in between several brawlers defenders, with two minutes left in the game. With the Tigers having no timeouts left, the Brawlers elected to kneel on the ball and run the clock out solidifying the win.
