In the second round of GEFA playoffs, we had one surprise and one pitiful demise. The #1 ranked Thunder where denied a chance at the Penn-NJ division championship game with a loss to the underdog tigers 42 – 18. The 5 th ranked Tiger’s move within one game of the Keystone bowl.
The #2 game in the Penn-NJ division pitted #3 ranked Wolfpack with the #2 ranked Broncos. The game started at 7pm at the Broncos homefield. Which was fitting. The 7pm start turned out to be an early bedtime for the Broncos, since they where put to sleep early. The wolfpack shredded the Broncos defense with 40 points and came close to a shutout allowing the Broncos 6 point’s total offense. An all around thumping, Goodnight!
The GEFA computer is picking a Mayhem & Wolfpack Keystone bowl. Good luck to our Penn-NJ Division brothers. We have two honorable and reputable franchise’s in the playoffs at this point, who represent this division, we can’t go wrong.

Brawlers lose to Tigers 0-8
After this weekends devastating loss to the tigers, possibly eliminating any hope of a playoff run. Optimisitc Brawlers part owner and head coach had this to say, "Brawlers dominated in stats and yards and controlled the tempo most of the game. We shot ourselves in the foot with offensive penalties at key moments. A 20 yd run to the 2 yd line called back. A 15 yd pass to the 5 called back and so on. With just under a minute to go the wolfpack threw a dump pass to the rb in the flats and he broke it for the winning touchdown". The Brawlers organization would like to take the time to wish Rich lecomte a quick and safe recovery. Rich broke his ankle in 4 places and tore several tendons this weekend. He will have surgery on Monday may 24th. Coach Susino had this to say about rich, "We wish him the best and support him 100%"

The Brawlers where embarrassed by the Thunder this weekend. A porous defense followed up with many costly turnovers yielded a 40 to eight thunder rout. With the end of the regular season looming with three games left the Brawlers need to right their sinking ship. They plan on doing so this weekend Vs their division rival Tigers. Despite the fact that both teams are under .500 the winner of this game gains control over the division and puts that team in the driver’s seat for a playoff run.

The reigning Keystone bowl champions Bayshore Brawlers lost their home opener this weekend to the PA Summit Hill Tigers. Several attempts by the Brawlers offense in the red zone ended with dropped passes or players unable to pull the ball down in bounds. Leaving the Brawlers offense walking away empty handed.
The Tigers engineered some offensive magic on a 4 th and goal on the 17 yardline. A defended pass by a brawler’s safety took a bounce off a player’s helmet into a tiger’s wideout’s waiting hands for an easy TD. The second Tigers TD was the end result of turnover which was the result of a bad snap. Brawlers center snapped the ball over the head of QB Ed Cox. The ball was recovered by the Tigers on the Brawlers five yardline. The brawler’s defense was unable to step up and stop the drive. Tigers scored two plays later.
After the game during an interview with owner coach Frank Sussino he was quoted as saying : “T he loss was tough, we had the ball inside the 5 yard line 5 times and didn’t score. They (the tigers) had a total of 5 first downs I believe. We will get better. We have to”
